The mission of the Democratic Club of Camarillo is to Elect Democrats that will lead with strong democratic values, Engage community members by building trust, Educate our neighbors about civics and the importance of local elections, and work to Enhance the quailty of life for ALL in Camarillo.
History & Purpose
Why is there a Democratic Club in Camarillo?
The Club serves as the Democratic body in Camarillo and is open to registered Democratic voters. The club works with the CA state party and the Ventura County Democratic Party to uphold democratic principals and allow the party to function at a grassroots level.
Eligibility
Club membership is open to all registered Democratic voters. Minors under 18 who intend to register as Dems can join the club.
Purposes of the club include, but are not limited to:
- Registering Voters
- Educating and publicizing Democratic principles and policies through political and community events
- Seeking and developing local candidates for elective office
- Supporting Democratic candidates seeking office
- Studying and acting on legislation
- Supporting fundraising events
- Preceinct Organizing
- Supporting Scholarship programs
